My Teaching:

I am a registered teacher with current VIT Registration, teaching classical and Irish flute styles, having taught both privately and as classroom or intrumental teacher in state and private Schools, both in Australia and overseas, in such countries as Thailand, England and Senegal.

INSTRUMENTS TAUGHT:

Woodwind, guitar, keyboard and classroom music to VCE standard in Department of Education schools in Victoria, Australia.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Arts (music/history), La Trobe University, Diploma of Primary Teaching, Geelong.

I have a varied musical background including over 20+ years teaching and playing experience, I specialised in flute improvisation at La Trobe University, have played flute and tin whistle in Irish pub sessions, accompanied for the Geelong Polish choir, Melbourne Colonial Dancers, Melbourne Irish language Association, to name a few as well as school productions, school bands and numerous private functions. I perform solo for weddings, concerts and parties. I also present workshops at music festivals and infact was the instigator of workshops for children at the 2nd Port Fairy Folk Festival in the late 1970s.

LOVE OF THE FLUTE

I have a love of music and especially the flute. As a professional musician, I can offer my students support and advice gained from my years of experience which includes management of my own dance band.
I teach all age ranges, sing and play a number of instruments.
